Happy Monday! Here’s to another week of keeping our kids busy at home while we try to work.

I recently made my way to CVS to pick up some necessities, and I got the best surprise as a walked by the kids toy section: kinetic sand! I picked up a package for each of my kids and it’s been such a success at keeping them entertained.

In the same section at CVS, I found these adorable clay sets too. The sets come with shaped cutters, googly eyes, stickers, and instructions on how to create various animals. The kids love to use the shaped cutters on the kinetic sand too! There was even some plain craft sticks so I came home feeling like a hero.

From Target’s Bullseye dollar spot, I found $1 flash card holder boxes that I am now using to store the kinetic sand, plus these wonderful sets of colorful craft sticks! They also have packets of felt money that have been all the rage around here. Zelda and Sam have been organizing the money by color while Layla and CJ play store and go shopping around the house. Unfortunately, these are not available online so will have to head to your local Target to find these items.

And last but not least, for those of who you would rather purchase sensory kits off the shelf, I can’t say enough good things about Young, Wild, and Friedman kits. Typically I would say caution that these kits contain choking hazards, but they actually just released kits with larger pieces for the younger toddlers as well!

These kits have been a quarantine game changer for my four kids, and all enjoy playing with them so I can personally say that they are fun for ages 2 - 5.5. Tell me how your kids enjoy sensory play in the comments below!
